Serverless microservices & Identity Verification — backend
Backend built as serverless microservices on AWS — Lambda behind clear service boundaries, Batch for scheduled bulk work, RDS for state and CloudWatch throughout.
Full Stack Engineer / AWS Cloud
Hi! I'm Joanner — a fullstack engineer with more than 6 years of experience building and refactoring microservices architectures. My background spans both frontend and backend work, from creating interfaces people actually enjoy using to REST API design and serverless infrastructure, along with AWS (S3, CloudFront, IAM, RDS, SES, CloudTrail) and WordPress.
I work across the full delivery path — designing and building the application, then running and hardening the AWS environment it depends on.
Full-stack delivery — React, Next.js and Node, typed end to end in TypeScript.
AWS architecture: EC2, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, CloudFormation, WAF, CloudWatch, Lightsail.
CMS work at scale — WordPress, Headless (Strapi | Contentful), and Adobe AEM.
Caching, monitoring and hardening — the part that keeps sites fast and quiet.

Website rebuild — full stack
Rebuilt the awards site end to end — WordPress and Timber on the back end, Tailwind on the front, deployed on AWS. Timber made the editorial side genuinely maintainable.
AEM + edge delivery
Component and template work in Adobe Experience Manager, with Edge Functions handling personalisation and routing close to the user instead of at the origin.
The pattern I reach for when a content site has to stay up under load. Most requests are identical, so the cache answers them and the application servers only ever see the ones that aren't.
Both in progress — I'd rather show the work than wait for the badge.
Architecture, cost, security and resilience across the core services.
Serverless application development, CI/CD pipelines and instrumentation on AWS.
Always glad to talk shop — interesting problems, side projects, or just comparing notes.
